In 1995, Facol Limited established the Traffic signals unit after a request by a main contractor in Kumasi to assist with Traffic signalization on a road project in that city. Facol after some negotiations and training in U.K, a Traffic Signals Unit was established. Once again Facol was to undertake the civil works of road crossings and metal fabrication of posts and to provide electrical as well as programming of controllers. Facol has installed over 200 traffic signals in Ghana.
